What is the California Public Records Act

The Public Records Act (Government Code Section 6250 et al.) is designed to give the public access to records in the possession of public agencies. The City Clerk’s Office facilitates the receipt of Public Record Requests in order to provide a central location for submittal, collection, and retrieval of records maintained by the City.
